On March 28, 2019, Dr. Maki Motapanyane was awarded the Mount Royal University Knowledge Mobilization Award, in recognition of outstanding contributions to research and scholarship.

The award was presented by Dr. Michael Quinn, Associate Vice-President, Research, Scholarship and Community Engagement, and Dr. Lesley Brown, Provost & Vice-President Academic.
